Another day, another what?

I have this dream that I will make a real life living out of here, but days like this make me wonder. I always check my counters in the morning hoping to see tons of avatar names beating my doors down. This morning? Not one! ZERO! Nothing! Right now there are other forces at play that non of us have any control over, but one thing I do know, real life economy affects our in world lives as well. I may have picked the wrong time to move Barefoot Apparel and expand. I have been told many times that you sometimes you have to take chances and I went way out on the proverbial limb on this one. But, its done and all I can do is ride this one out and hope for the best. I know that I am not alone in this thinking, but I admit that I am a bit nervous.

That being said, the work continues. I re-modeled a bit over at the head quarters location of Snafu. I tore down the old 'community' area and rebuilt it. I made it larger and then placed a 'micro' store for Barefoot Apparel. The idea is to do a complete remodel and make everything on one level. This will not be easy as Snafu is quite hilly and you can only terraform so far. I'm not keen on the idea of building a monolithic base 30 to 40 meters high to accomplish this, but in order to make things easy for customers and store placement, it makes sense. Barefoot Homes & Designs will get a new store eventually. I have decided to try the store that I used for Apparel when it was located there. Make some minor modifications to it and possibly join two of them together to form one large store. That is a ways down the road yet, keeping the present store open while I do this will be a good trick.

A lot of changes coming soon for Barefoot so stay tuned.

Welcome to Barefoot Designs

Barefoot Designs is now blogging! How special is that? I am Jeremey Ryan, proud owner of Barefoot Designs. Barefoot Designs is a virtual company in a virtual world known as Second Life. Barefoot Designs has been in business for over two years now and has established a reputation for quality and innovation in style and techniques in creating its products.

Barefoot Designs is the parent company for its two divisions. That being Barefoot Apparel and Barefoot Homes & Designs. Barefoot has its head quarters located in Snafu. Until recently, both stores were located in Snafu, but that has changed. In January, Barefoot Apparel moved to its new home located in Zeord. Zeord is a beach front property worthy of the name, Barefoot. This location is much more suited for the type of apparel that Barefoot Apparel creates. Barefoot Apparel creates men's casual fashions such as swim wear, shorts, underwear, intimate wear all with a seventies and eighties touch, retro if you will. All of the designs have a look of nylon and nylon tricot. Custom textures and detailing make Barefoots look unique. All of Barefoot Apparels products bear the 'foot print' logo or name. I cans say that this new home for Barefoot is exciting, beautiful and truly a place to kick off the shoes and go barefoot, check it out. Barefoot will be expanding its line with more fleece wear, hoodies and clothing accessories.

Barefoot Homes & Designs creates home and office furnishings, lighting, accessories and prefab homes. Many new designs are on the drawing board and will be out as soon as real life will permit.

In time I will tell more about myself as the owner of Barefoot Designs and how all of this came to be. It has been a long road and a crazy experience, but well worth it. I have made the real life decision to try and make a real life living out of Barefoot Designs. I'm not there yet, but I feel that it can be done. The secret is to be a 'name' in our virtual world and that is not an easy thing to do. The older more established names are known and mentioned daily. Barefoot has a ways to go before it is known to this extent, but it will happen.

Thanks for stopping by.

Peace...

Jeremey
